Microneedling London or Collagen Induction Therapy London
The process of microneedling involves rolling or gliding mini needles over the skin to create tiny invisible puncture wounds on the top layer of the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s natural wound healing processes, resulting increased cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production. Skin looks smoother, firmer, softer, healthier and younger.
Here at Elenique skin clinic, we use only medically proven CE electronic devices with sterile, disposable tips to maximise the safety and achieve the best results.

Improving the appearance of sun damage
Micro-needling is effective treatment in reducing the appearance of sun-damaged skin on the face and hands.
Depending on the treatment area and concern, your micro-needling treatment can take from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Your aesthetician will advise you on the length of the treatment during your consultation.
Depending on the skin condition and concerns, improvements will take time as the body repairs and grows new skin. For the best results, a course of four – six treatments is recommended.
Depending on the skin condition and device used your treatments can be between two and six weeks apart.
The treatment is usually well tolerated by most people but for skin conditions such as scars we need a deeper approach. We can apply a topical anaesthetic to reduce any discomfort. The procedure will be discussed with you during your consultation.
The recovery time needed depends on the size of the needles used. We sometimes use a small needle for the first treatment, depending on your skin type and condition. Redness is a normal skin response to the micro-needling treatment and it can last for up to a week. You can expect to experience dryness, flaking and shedding for up to seven days.
The length of time needed to see results depends on the skin condition to be treated. It can take between three and six months to see the full benefits as the body takes time to generate new collagen. These results can be long-lasting, depending on your overall health and lifestyle.
